'i t,- i r-- v Brigham City will become the p Intermountain AAU swim capital next week when the annual Golden Spike meet is staged here. Youthful paddlers from various parts of Utah, Idahc and California will be in the yearly event Aug 4 at the municipal pool. Back again will be a contingent from the Magna Pirates which last year walked away with the team high-poitrophy. Brigham City expects to enter about 60 swimmers in the competition. Their coach is Larry Moody. Preliminaries will begin at 8 a.m. each day with finals scheduled at about 4 p.m. Special medals will again be awarded to the top five finishers in each individual event with medals going also to the first three relay teams. Sandwiches and drinks will be sold during each day and bleachers will be set up at both ends of the pool for specators who are invited to watch the action free of charge.
