They left by plane on Dec. 11 and returned Jan 2. They stayed at Susans home with Lolas sister Joe and Ethel and Austin. What an exciting trip. Lola said they just went everywhere she picked cotton, and coffee. Played golf went to the beach and boating on the ocean. It was beautiful summer time with the temperature ranging between 85 to 100 all the time she was there. She even went to a tea at the United Nations Ambassadors home. The sad part of the trip was seeing the true poverty in the low lands of the country she said. Lola said she surely hated to come home expecially after seeing flowers in bloom but after she got home she said she was glad to be here even if it is mighty cold.
