Following four rounds of debate beginning at 8:35 a.m. that morning, directors of the event announced that Box Elder had maintained the highest overall percentage of wins. team from Clearfield placed first in the tournament, A having gone undefeated through the hidden fourth round power match and receiving Social Security Law Changes Restrictions 190 speaker points. Also qualifying for the power match were Dwight Stevens and Jeff Taniguichi of Box Elder, in addition to a trio of Ben Lomond teams. Box Elder debate coach Allen Fleming said the meet was establsihed to provide both experience and incentive for newcomers to the debate squad. According to debate manager Tom Stoddard the next major tournament for the school is calendared in Provo on Jan. 6 when the Utah State Bar Wednesday ss association stages its first annual tournament.
