Watts Vacation Ends; By MarRue The Willard school reopened to School Sparks Christmas vacations end and its back to school even though most of the kids think there should be a better way to start the new year. Miss Jody Vicenti and Miss Norma Mike were among many young Indian boys and girls who were privileged to go by bus to Ogden, where they enjoyed a basketball game and dance. The holiday function was held for all LDS Indian placement teens in this area. Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Hun-sak- were glad to have their son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Hunsaker of Logan spend Christmas eve with them. Christmas day the four of them went to Salt Lake were they visited with another son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hunsaker. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tolman, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bingham attended an open hoiise at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Otto F. Smith. The open house was held in honor of their son and his wife, Dr. and Mrs. Richard Smith. Parents Visit Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hunsaker and their children were happy to have Mrs. Hunsakers parents spend Christmas with them. They are Mr. and Mrs. Allan Bennett of Grace, Idaho. Also visiting with them were her brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Helquist of Blanding have been spending a few days with Mrs. Ruth 0. Hunsaker. Mrs. Helquist is the former Betty Hunsaker, David and Letty Tolman hosted a family New Years eve party at their home. Sleigh riding was enjoyed by young and old alike. They greeted the new year in together, with lots of homemade ice cream and many other good things to eat. Among those attending were Judy and Glade Hunsaker, Joan and Jay Stokes, Betty and Boyd Helquist, and Mrs. Ruth 0. Hunsaker, also umpteen children, at least it seems that way when families get, together., Letty said she enjoyed every minute of it and is only sorry they cant do it more often. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Tolman enjoyed having their children and families spend New Years day with them. Spending the day were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Vaughan, Mr. and Mrs. Reuel Lamborn, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Tolman, and Mr. and Mrs. David Tolman. Thanks to some generous the snowmobile owners, deacons quorum was able to have a great party last week, snowmobiling. The boys had a marvelous time and enjoyed refreshments after. The boys appreciate their advisors Ursel Hunsaker and Scott Tolman, who proved to be good 'sports with the boys. Many thanks to snowmobile owners LeWayne Donald Walker, Thomas DeFrank and Hunsaker, Tolman. Elaine Tolman and her children, Laura Ann, George, Allan, and Martha, have just returned from a trip to California. They traveled by train, which was a special treat for the children. They stayed in Barstow with Elaine's brother and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Nelson, also a sister and family Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Taylor, and a sister Miss Ruth Nelson who also reside in Barstow. Elaines parents Ariz., Nelson, Mr. and of Thatcher, Mrs. George and another brother and family Mr. and Mrs. Kimble Nelson of Mesa, Ariz. were also there for a wonderful family reunion. While there they were able to visit the restored silver mining town of Calico. Home Again Mrs. Winnie Clark is at home again after spending a week with her brother, Abe Hunsaker and niece Mrs. Jerry Spackman both of Richmond. We hope she got a much needed rest from her sewing machine. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Kvist of Salt Lake were visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tolman on New Years eve. Mrs. Kvist is their daughter Robin. Jan. 4 after a vacation for Christmas and New Years which began Wednesday, Dec. 23. On the closing day the children were treated to a Danny Kaye movie and had an assembly where each class presented a number. Santa Claus made an appearance and visited in each of the rooms with a gift for each child. Individual class parties were held and gifts were exchanged by the children. Vacation also ended this week for Relief societies, Primaries and Mutual in both wards. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Archibald and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nelson spent a week at Christmas time in Cedar City with their son and daughter Dale and Sandra Nelson and three grandchildren Chris, Jan and Rodney. The family had a program for the grandparents while they were there, which is an annual event, which each member of the family participating. on Monday, Family at Home Mr. and Mrs. J. Wesley Perry were happy to have all of their family except son John home for Christmas. They included Evan, who is home on leave from Fort Polk, La, and leaves on Friday to report for duty at Fort Benning, Ga.; Brinton, who has been attending school and son Craig from Del Rio, Texas; and David and Beth Marchant from Midvale and their family which included Bruce and Linda Marchant from Salt Lake City, and Capt. Robert and Elaine Leggett from Fairfield, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. R.I. Brockbank from Santa Ana, Calif, were Christmas holiday visitors at the home of daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Robert son-in-la- Morgan. Enjoying Christmas Eve and Christmas morning festivities with Miles and Leona Allred and their four daughters were their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kunzler and family left on New Years Eve and traveled to Richfield to spend New Years Day with Glens brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Kunzler. from Ogden. Welcome New Year Eight couples welcomed in the New Year at a party held at the home of Wayne and LuDene Young on New Years Eve. A buffet was served and games were played by the group which included the host and hostess, Roy and Helen Jane Lemon, Doris and Irvil Younger, Stanley and Louise Parkin, Don and DeeRae Christensen, Boyd and Beverly Nelson, Gay and Helen Pettingill, and Darrell and Nila Stucki. Texas Visitors Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lemon have been Lt. Douglas and Mary Jane Lee and son Craig from Del Rio, Texas. Douglas left on Jan. 1 to report for duty at Del Rio and Mary Jane and Craig will spend a few weeks with her parents before returning to Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Charles spent Christmas visiting their children. They spent Christmas in Van Nuys, Calif, with Mr. and Mrs. Kent and their children. They visited for three days in Las Vegas, with Dale and spent time with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lofthouse in North Ogden. of graduation from the Primary in the Willard ward on Sunday.
