They returned Sunday from a week in Las Vegas where they went to attend a regional meeting of the Boy Scouts of America. Fife is vice president of the Lake Bonneville Council. The Fifes recently returned k from a visit in Alaska prior to their Las Vegas trip. two-wee- Announce Arrivals Mr. and Mrs. James Roth of Providence are announcing the arrival of a new baby daughter born on Nov. 3. Mrs. Roth is the former Julia Funk. They have chosen the name Susan for the new arrival and she evens things up in the Roth family joining the couples other three children, Brian, Daniel and university. The couple has circled Dec. 4 as their wedding date in the Logan LDS temple, and will be honored that evening at a reception in the LDS Indian chapel. Stelnvoort is home again after a two and a half week trip to Silver Spring, Md. She went there to visit her and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Wes Vernon. While she was there she and her daughter toured the White House, where Mrs. Steinvoort was especially impressed with the beautiful paintings and display of the fine china used by the various presidents. Mrs. Wallgren is the former Julie Jensen. They have named him Stephen Carl. Mr. and Mrs. M. Reese Jensen of this city and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Wallgren of Bountiful are the proud firsttime grandparents. The little boy is well endowed with ts having 16th Ward Set Bazaar Night Pioneer Home Program Given Sixteenth LDS ward building fund bazaar will be held on Friday, Nov. 20, at the ward cultural hall with dinner set to begin at 6 p.m. Menu items include chili, corn dogs, salad, pie, cake, ice cream and soda pop. Browsing at the sales booths will be from 6 to 7 p.m. with sales to begin at 7 p.m. A nice selection of linens, toys, children's clothing, and other household items will be on display. Christmas candles will be the featured item at a special table of Christmas items on sale during the evening. There will be plenty of games downstairs for the youngsters, and families are urged to attend for an evening of fun. Seventies One, including Box Elder, Cache and Rich counties, will present the annual Make It Yourself with Wool fashion show on Jan. 4, 1971, at Logan High school, 162 West First South, Logan, to select winners to compete in the state contest. The program is sponsored annually by the Utah Auxiliary to the National Wool Growers association and the American Wool council, a division of the American Sheep Producers councils. Girls planning to compete in the contest must select fabric made of 100 percent wool loomed in America, their own patterns and construct their own garments. They then model the items which they have sewn. Winners from the junior division for ages 6 and from the senior division for ages 1 will be selected to represent the district in the state competition set for Jan. 7 at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City. 14-1- 17-2- State contest winners represent Utah in the national event. Prizes for the district contest winners are contributed by Unique Zipper of Seattle, Wash; Bonnie Bell, Inc., Cleveland, Ohio; the Butterick company; Coats and Clark Inc.; John Dritiz and Sons, Inc., and Modes Royale, all of New York. Three Brigham City residents attended the annual meeting of the National Association for Mental Health recently in Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Malcolm McDonald, 611 South First East; Mrs. Clayton Longhurst, 675 South Seventh West and Nick Topik, 633 West Fifth South, were among Utahns attending the meeting Nov. 18. Pledges Join In Ceremony New pledges to Epsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi were welcomed and received by the sorority at a banquet held on Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Artistic Manor. Rituals were conducted by Kaye MacFarlane of Epsilon chapter, with a welcome extended by Doris Olsen and the prayer given by Teddy Lou Call. Donna Dali gave a reading, followed by the tribute to pledges offered by Pat Hugg. The pledge answer was given by Barbara Bingham. Louise Young presented a musical number. Taking pledge rituals were Deanna Valentine, Barbara Bingham, Ileen Germer, Susan Petersen, Goldene Petersen and Tamara Bune. Taking final vows to the group were Susan Maero and Hazel Petersen. Music Group Meets Friday Porgy and selection from Cecilian Music Society will its monthly meeting on Friday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Sharon Smith. Cohostess will be Mrs. Barbara Redford. Mrs. Lucille Hansen will present a lesson on the life and hold works of composer George Gershwin. Gershwin compositions will be performed by society members in conjunction with the lesson. Vocalist Charleen Dunn will sing a 1 1 Bess accompanied by Sharon Smith. A piano solo Rhapsody in Blue will be played by Mrs. Naone Godfrey.
