Show Mantua Meanderings Bowdens Set Reunion Local Troop Returns From Yellowstone By Mary T. Allred ' i I i The Boy Scouts of troop 111 returned late Saturday from an eight day camping trip to Camp Loll, which is near the South entrance of Yellowstone park. The week was spent in hiking, cooking, canoeing, archery, survival hikes, swimming, and a conservation project for the camp. The boys who attended this camp in the remote wilderness area were Dennis Allred, Michael Allred, Dean Wyatt, Hailing, John Brent Bigler, Bigler, Paul Craner, Kevin Danny Marshall, Forsgren, Reed Nelson, Brian Jensen, Kevin Sorensen, Charles Burtis, and John Sherratt. Michael Carver will serve as master of ceremonies for the event. He is a 27 year old native of Brigham City. He graduated from Box Elder High school in 1961 and has attended Utah State university at Logan. He is( married to the former Sharon Snow and they are the parents of three children. Besides having a talent for setting the contestants at ease, he usually sings several songs, adding variety and entertainment to the event. In September 1969, Mike entertained at the annual Peach Queen pageant which is held in Brigham City. He also emceed the Miss Utah State university pageant at Logan and the Box Elder Dairy Princess pageant. An added attraction will be J. Clair Anderson of Ogden playing the organ during the pageant. Entrants in the pageant are: awarded to participaters of all Beverly Timothy, Bonnie Vance, Geri Dawn Gibson, Michelle Nelson, Julie Shaw, Vickie Lea Garn, Kara Johnston, Karla Finch, Dixie Kotter, Susy Crump, Sandra Stine, Jayna Davis, Barbara Nicholas, Sherry Labrum, Susanne Holmgren, Trudy Summers, Becky Rogers, and Tamme Compton. Judges Chosen Out of town judges have been selected to judge the pageant. The girls will be judged 50 percent on talent, 25 percent evening gown and 25 percent on swim suit. Poise and personality are considered in all phases of judging. The event will be held in the community center beginning at 6:30 p.m. Victor said class members should make reservations no later than Aug. 20. Patrolman Ernest Justesen said the culprits broke locks on desks and knocked over one microscope while apparently searching for money.
