Jim Carter, foreman, was in rodeo as charge of the two-da- y the cattle were all rounded up and branded. Other Simplot men from Grouse Creek, Dick Seal, Art Pennington, Doug Tanner and Bryan Blanthorn, assisted in the job. Dozens of cowboys also come up from the Simplot yards in Burley and a few other local men assisted. SOME SAID it was like a feature and Rawhide everyone talked to reported they had a good time. Dinner was served outdoors both days to a large crowd of parof I ticipants. Cheryl Carter, Kathleen Mecham, Bobbie Blanthorn, and Rebel Seal all worked at getting the cowboys and the special guests fed. On Saturday evening many of the group met in Montello, Nev. to have supper together and an evening of fun, then the branding job was completed on Sunday. On Saturday the cattle were held in the open and branded as in the days of the old wild west, then on Sunday the animals were corralled to be branded. SHERIFF WARREN Hyde of Brigham was on hand Saturday morning for the big event and spent some time Friday visiting friends here. The weather was certainly against the roundup on Saturday and was terribly cold and windy but warmed up considerably on Sunday. BILL KIMBER was highly honored on his 80 th birthday anniversary on Wednesday evening.
