The group, after several seasons disbanded, but Miss Archer and Miss Gile who had managed to remain friends through The Colleens ups and downs, decided to stay on the coast. Their voices blended perfectly, so it made sense for them to begin work together. Their programs have grown into a concentration on folksongs and has proven to be the means of liberating their presentations from the sameness that has plagued so many singers in the past. When we had a date to appear at a fair with a nautical theme, we learned sea chanties. When a program of international songs was requested by Mexico Citys Pala-ci- o de Bellas Artes, we submitted the program first and learned the songs afterward. Now they spice their concerts with numbers in languages as varied as Chinese, Hawaiian, Pueblo Indian, and Yiddish. In all, they sing in 18 different languages and the authenticity of their pronunciation has been guaranteed by the various linguistic experts who have coached them. THIS ASPECT of their performance, as well as their musical good taste and keen show-- 1 manship, was further verified on the occasion of the artists first tour of Europe and appearances in Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Frank- - - HI ADDITION SENIOR CITIZENS RECEIVE AN ADDITIONAL 5 ON AIL PERSONAL PRESCRIPTIONS WHEN SKAGGS SENIOR CITIZEN PRESCRIPTION DISCOUNT PLAN.
