The chorus num- - Oldtlmer ST. LOUIS (UPI) Theophil Klemme has retired after 56 years with the same publishing firm. Klemme started as an assistant bookkeeper in 1906 whfcn he was 19 years old and advanced to head bookkeeper and cashier of Eden Publishing House, now owned and operated by the Evangelical and Reformed Church, part of the United Church of Christ. KEEP FREEDOM 111 The mixed chorus of Thiokols Wasatch division will make its second public appearance this Sunday over KBUH radio, according to Munro (Jack) Steele, chorus director. The chorus, numbering over 40 singers, will present a half hour program of favorite Christmas songs this Sunday, December 23, from 3:30 to 4 p. m. Also included on the program will be interviews with Thiokol employees who lived in foreign countries, and who will tell how Christmas is celebrated in other countries. THE WASATCH division chorus was organized last May by emSome ployees and their spouses. of the members of the chorus have extensive , music backgrounds, while others are participating for the first time. They practice each Monday night at the Box Elder Junior High chorus room. The accompanist is Mrs. Robert Scott. Jack Steele, the chorus director, has been active in chorus work since he was a young boy and has participated in boys chorus, college glee clubs college quartets, the Erie, Pa., choruses, the Rob ert Shaw Cleveland Symphony chorus, and has directed several church choirs. The group Is available for public appearance and anyone wish' ing to make arrangement for an appearance can contact Steele. A delicious pot luck dinner was enjoyed and games played with prizes going to all present. Gifts were exchanged and everyone declared the party a great success. Mrs. Alice Norman from Corinne was a special guest. MR. AND MRS. Austin Johnson left last week for the northwest where they will spend Christmas with their son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. LeRon Johnson and fam ily at Fort Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. of Carl Henderson and family Seattle. Many relatives and friends from here attended the funeral services in Tremonton last Saturday for Rennie Anderson. Our sympathy goes out to his wife and family. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson were former members of tjiis ward. Mr. and Mrs. Golden Anderson of Bothwell spent Sunday afternoon with their mother, Mrs. Ida Christensen. MISS NORMA Jensen toasted the retiring clerk, followed by a vocal and musical duet by Mr. and Mrs. Talbot.
