Phone PA apartments, ORDINANCE NO. 262 An Ordinance Providing Uniform Procedure for Miscellaneous Types of Street Excavations In Brigham City, Excavations for Installation or Repair of Water Lines, Excavations for Installa- tion or Repair of Sewer Lines, Excavations for Installation or Repair of Gas Lines, Excavations for Installation or Repair of Telephone Cable and Conduits, Fxcavations for Installation or Repair of Water and Sewer Laterals in Subdivisions Under Development When Not a Part of the Main Water and Excavations Sewer Contract, for Any Other Purpose Within the Street Right of Way; Repealing Any Existing Ordinances in Conflict Herewith; Declaring An Emergency and Providing That This Ordinance Shall Become Effective Upon Publication After Final Passage. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BRIGHAM CITY, UTAH AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The following types of excavation do not come within the scope of this Ordinance: Excavations of any kind in City Streets in project designed, contracted for, and inspected by the City Engineer. SECTION 2. Specifications. 1. PREPARATION. The street pavement shall be cut and removed to a neat line at a minimum of 4 inches outside of the lines forming the sides of the trench on trenches less than 36 inches in depth and at a minimum of 6 inches on trenches more than 36 inches in depth. Concrete sidewalks and driveways shall be cut vertically along the lines forming the trench. The portion to be removed shall be broken up in such a manner that will not cause damage to the pavement outside the limits of the trench.
