He attended an electrical engineering school in Chicago prior to spending two years in the U. S. Army. He just returned from a Southern States mission. Following their marriage in the S< Lake LDS temple, they plan to resume their studies at BYU and make a home in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Prisbrey announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter. Donna Jean, to Lloyd Hawkes, son of Mrs. Ida Hawkes of Providence. The marriage will take place the early part of September. Miss Prisbrey is a graduate of Box Elder High school and seminary, and Henagers School of Business. She is currently attending Brigham Young University In Provo where she is ma--; oring in home economics and dance. Invited to share honors with Miss Sheffield and be acclaimed at the reception, is Miss Dolores Shorty, Brigham City, who was designated Miss Indian America for 1957 at the Sheridan, Wyo., Indian ceremonials held last , week. The reception will be held on Thursday from 7:30 to 10:30 First Ward Homebuilders Hold Holiday And Trailbuilders Enjoy Fun Da Lay Homebuilders have been en-- ; oying their holiday and their annual Fun Da Lay in the First ward during this past week. Friday evening, Aug. 2, the Trailbuilders and their parents met at Rees Pioneer park for annual summer fun. Games were enjoyed and lunches eaten. The Primary furnished the drinks and dessert. A basketball game between Trailbuilders and their Dads highlighted the party. Class leaders for the Trailbuilders are Mrs. LaWana Jensen, Mrs. Anna Smith and Mrs. LaRaine Petersen. Holiday Held Homebuilders Holiday was held under the direction of Mrs. Mary Reese, Mrs. Edith Cooke, Mrs. Bernice Christensen and Mrs. DeCarum Freer at Rees Pioneer park. The event was held Monday evening, Aug. 5, with mothers of the girls as guests. All brought their lunches and enjoyed drinks and dessert served by the Primary. Glovers Return From California Vacation Back from a delightful ten days at El Cerrito, Calif., are Mr. and Mrs. W. Lamont Glover. They were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Mea-chaand saw the third Mea-chason, Cory, for the first time. Other Meacham children are Craig and Chris. Wednesday evening, July 31, family members feted the lad. Saturday afternoon neighborhood children received invitations for party fun. The party was arranged and presented to Master Brad by his sister, Annette, Tiny youngsters attending were Johnny Young, Jimmy Call, Jana Merrell and Bebbie Taylor, as well as Judy Merrell, Sharon Frye, Marco, Rama and Annette Glover. Refreshments were served, games played, prizes awarded and gifts presented to the excited guest of honor. Seventh Ward Members Enjoy Primary Program The Primary Birthday Serevening, Seventh LDS vice was held Sunday Aug. 4, at the ward chapel. Meeting opened with congregation singing, I Thank Thee Dear Father, led by Mrs. Kathryn Hadfield. Allyson Geisler opened with prayer. President Amy Jordan was in charge and presented Primary teaching certificates to Mrs. Norma Leggett for 25 years service; Mrs. Delores Cochran, seven year, and Mrs. Rita, five years. The program aranged by Mrs. Roxie Geisler, counselor, was then presented in three scenes. Scene one featured the Madsen home with Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Reeder and family, along with Sue Munns portraying the family. Mrs. Phyllis Hunsaker, a Primary teacher, spoke. Scene two was presented by the Top Pilot class. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hobn son and family, Alice Ann and Kristeen Andersen portrayed the Burton family in scene three. Closing remarks were given by Bishop Lee Andersen. We Thank Thee O God For a Prophet, was closing song with benediction by Brad Burt.
