Show Ruth Elaine Fillmore Engaged e Mr. and Mrs. Verne B of Corinne are announcing the approaching marriage of their daughter, Ruth Elaine, to Max Heppler, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Z. Heppler, Tremonton. . The young couple has chosen May 21 as their wedding date. Bear Former Willard Girl Attends Luncheon Honoring First Lady in Nation's Capitol Mrs. Donald J. Proulx, the former Marie Davis of Willard, was guest at a luncheon for Mrs. Mamie Elsenhower in the Wilballlard Hotels fashionable room In Washington, D. C. on March 22. The luncheon was given by the wives of executives of the Federal Independent Agencies as a belated birthday luncheon for the First Lady, which had ibeen postponed because of the presidents Illness last November. "To Mamie with Music with Love" was the theme of the birthday celebration with such talent from New York City as Tony Martin and his dancers and singers, Marlon Marlowe, and Mahalia Jockson responsible for the entertainment. The celebration was the first nationally televised program to honor a First Lady. Seated only a few feet away Mrs. from Mrs. Eisenhower, Proulx noted that Mamie wore a small flat hat of pink sweetheart buds which matched her black silk frock printed with pink rosebuds and green leaves. She is the most charming woman I have ever seen, Mrs. Proulx commented in a letter to her mother, Mrs. Wynn Davis of Willard, "and her pictures do not capture her attractiveness not her little mannerisms which are so becoming- At the close of the program, Mrs. Eisenhower commented, "Its been one of the most wonderful birthday parties Ive ever had, but it certainly did tear my ambassador; Mme.
