Phil .Rasmussen was the announcer, assisted toy Dee Han- CORINNE COMMENTS Community and Guests Enjoy Fourth Of July Celebration and Homecoming By Diane Harper Arthur Carlson and Cleofa Guest Columnist The annual Fourth of July celebration, directed by Lloyd Hubbard, chairman; Taro Yagi, vice chairman, and Donna A. Hubbard, secretary and treasurer, was enjoyed by all attending. The various committees and all who helped in any way to make the celebration a success should be complimented. Mrs. Norma Bosley was in charge of the parade which started at 11 a. m. The M. I. A. float placed first In the church section with the Relief society float placing second and the Prlimary third. In the club section the M. E. Ladies club placed first, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers second, and the Mexican childrens group, third. Judges for the parade were Mr. and Mrs. sen, Lar- sen. The VFW drum and bugle and corps furnished music marching drills lin the parade and at the city park following the parade. The community appreciates these boys and girls helping with the celebration. Races were enjoyed by the children at the park under the direction of Mrs. Athleen Hardy. Prizes were given to the winners and treats were given to all children participating. Softball games were played between the Single and married men, and the single and miar-riieladies. Winners of these games were the single men and the married ladies. The rodeo Which started at 8 p. m. was under the direction of Dawn Reeder.
