Joseph L Johnson Funeral Saturday Former Corinnc Joseph Lorenzo Johnson, Bear River City, passed away Tuesday afternoon at the family home of a heart attack. He was born September 128, 1900 in Bear River City, the son of Lars R. Johnson and Johanna Rasmussen Johnson. ' 'He was reared and educated in Bear River City and lived there all his life. He married Ella Zlnck in 1923 In Bear River She passed away JanCity. uary 22, 1943. He was a member of the L. D. S. church. He Is survived toy the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Zelda Livingston, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Mary Ann Housley, Ogden; Paul Johnson, Tremon-ton- ; Ronald Johnson, who is at Fort Lewis, Washington, serving In the army; Arlene and Carolyn Johnson, both of Bear River City; five grandchildren; the following brothers and sise ters, iNorma Johnson and Johnson, both of Salt Lake City; Vernon Johnson, Centerville; Alvin Johnson, Clearfield and Mrs. Edna Bywater, Brigham City. Funeral sevices will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. at the Bear River City ward chapel with Bishop Vernon Johnson officiating. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p. m. at the Rogers Mor- tuary In Tremonton and Saturday from 10 a. m. to time of services, at the home of Lee Zlnck, Bear River City. Interment will be in the' Bear River City cemetery. Entertains Birthday Club Friday Evening Mrs. Ed ward entertained her birthday club at luncheon Friday evening after which sewing and visiting followed. A beautful gift was presented the hostess. They lived in Kelso for the past 20 years. Mrs. Jepperson formerly taught school at Corinne for several years. Her husband is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. (Nephl Jepperson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, at Kelso, Washington. Survivors include her hbsband of Grade Street, Kelso, Wash, ington. Brigham Native Wins Promotion A Brigham City native, Blaine Ward, son or Mr. and Mrs. J. 'Hyrum Ward, advanced in the business world recently when he was promoted to the man agership of the Gambles store at Fort Morgan, Colo. Mr. Ward graduated from Box Elder high school in 1933. He will take over the new post on May 26 and will be Joined by his wife, Marjorie and three sons: Douglas, Jeffrey and Richard shortly after June 1. According to Abe Smith, man ager of the store at wihich Mr. Ward worked, he made his first connecton with the Gamble or gamzation at Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 1938. Since that time he has served as district crew director, working out of the 'Denver office of the company in addition to caring for his duties at the Loveland, Colorado store.
