An outstanding feature of the affair was the floor show under the direction of Dance Directors Boss and Diane Olsen. Taking part were Leona May and Elwin Olsen, DeAnn Davis and Robert Jensen; Marilyn Anderson and Jay Meservy, Carol JOhhson and Cliff Woodland and Vleria Stokes and Ross Olsen. A special tap dance number was presented by Elaine Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry , , Smith, accompanied Dy janice Jensen. Ross Olsen was in charge of the dance. The Junior Gleaner girls and advisors helped with decorations. The book contained four pages and each page was a beautiful hand painted picture introducing the four sections of the conference. The book was constructed and painted by Sara Hansen. During the entire presentation and acoutic of gold letters spelling out The Childrens Friend, was used. As the program proceeded, children brought the letters on the stage one at a time and placed them across the front of the stage. While a group of children came onto the stage to discover the beautiful "Childrens Friend, the childrens chorus sang. The first scene "Poems and Stories, showed a lovely grandmother, played by Ruth Valentine, reading to a group of her grandchildren and during this, a batlian of the Virgin Mary, played by Judy Hendrieksen, was shown and the childrens chorus sang, T Think When I Read That Sweet Story of Old. The second scene, "Something To Do, presented groups of children of displaying Paul Hunsaker Word has been received by Paul Hunsaker of Route No. 1 Brigham City, that his two sisters, formerly of Brigham City, both had babies bom the same day. Mrs. LaVelle Whedter of Duchesne, Utah had an eight pound boy born in Duchesne on Sufiday, April 8, at 5 p. m. She is the former Sally Hunsaker. Mrs. George Henry of South Ogden, had a baby girl, born at the St Benedicts hospital, Sunday, April 8, at 1 a. m. She is the former Zoe Hunsaker. different drawings, puzzles, hobbles and handicrafts. Then Cinderella played by Lynette Frost, was brought on the stage in a beautiful gold and blue coach and was assisted from the coach by page, Teddy Hansen. During this scene the children sang, Cinderellas Shoe. Then eight children dressed in costumes of different nations came upon the! stage and stood by the flag of their nation. A postman, played by Robert Knudsen, gave letters to the children to show that through pen pal letters friendships between nations can be encouraged. In scene three, Special Features, a dramatization of a family enjoying the many, features of The Childrens Friend, was presented with Mr. and Mrs. Kenner Killpack as the mother and father. At the closing of this scene Brent Horsley sang The Lords Prayer," following which the childrens chorus joined in and sang It with him. Part four, "And Ye ShaU Teach, showed groups of children playing ignoring the presence of three unwanted children wandering about. Then three primary teachers came on stage and gathered the groups together including the unwanted children. The children then sang, Bless The Children. At the close of the conference the entire childrens chorus which included all the children La-Ver- n I Mrs. Neil Whitaker of Perry entertained twelve little guests Tuesday, April 10, in honor of the sixth birthday anniversary of her daughter, Emily Rae. Mrs. Whitaker entertained the tiny tots with stories and games. Small pink and yellow baskets filled with candies were presented to the guests. Color scheme for the afternoons decorations and menu was pink and yellow. The excited youngsters were delighted while helping Emily Rae open her many gifts.
