The Brigham City American Legion and auxiliary, post 10, filled and distributed Christmas boxes to twenty-on- e families of veterans in Brigham City, Honey-ville- , Perry and Willard. There were over 80 children in the 21 families, Alta Shaw, chairman of the event, said today. The gifts consisted of chickens, walnuts, candy, honey, canned fruits and vegetables, milk, butter, toys and clothing. All of the gifts were donated by merchants, various organizations, members of both the Legion and auxiliary, Mrs. Shaw said. Also, on some of the toys and clothing a generous discount was given by merchants. Mrs. Shaw said that the committee in charge wished to' thank all who helped in the filling of the boxes, either by donation or by time given to help in filling and delivering the boxes. The committee of the Legion consisted of L. S. Taggart, Lynn Jensen and James Powers, commander of the post. The committee from the auxiliary consisted of Alta Shaw, chairman; Josephine Buchanan, Marie Pohl, Grace Ferguson, Elsie Jensen, Letitia Snow and Claire Nelson.
