The event includes singles and doubles play for men, women, boys and girls ages 10 and over. There will also be classes from B to open for men and women. According to Lynn Tugaw, tournament director, the event will be played July 9 through 16 at John Adams park, Intermountain school, Box Elder , Player warm up time is five minutes. She said adult and juniors are required to furnish one new can of USTA balls. The winner will take the new can of balls and the loser will keep the used balls. are reJunior players quired to furnish one good or new ball for their matches. Racquet rule posted at tennis courts Rules and procedures wont be in question for netters using John Adams and Box Elder High school tennis courts. According to Jack Winn, Brigham City Recreation director, the new signs have been posted at both locatioins spelling out court rules and racquet rule procedures. The signs are large and boldly lettered, VIE ARE procedure signs have the following information: 1. To reserve a court, place your racquet under court number; 2. Courts 7 a.m., will be cleared at times posted 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. During the week, a person designated by the recreation department will be overseeing the courts, Winn said, and players are asked to heed the directions of the signs and instruction of this person. Few complaints have come into the recreation department office regarding use 'of the courts and maltreatment of individuals, Winn said. He encourages feedback of conditions on the courts at ext. 49. We apologize for the Box Elder High school court lights not being turned on. Each time we experience an electrical storm the switches must be reset. With all the programs in the city to oversee, it is difficult to check all the areas of activities, Winn added.
