Performances for the finals are 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday, Ibursday and Friday with the finals Saturday at 8 p.m. The bass at Brigham City reservoir in Mantua may have been thinned out naturally. Thats an opinion the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is beginning to form as officers study results of shocking operations at the local lake. Since Monday nights initial take of 500 small bass, the results have been around 200 a night, far fewer fish than the division expected to find. Conditions at the lake were extremely crowded for the bass two years ago. However, officers have found very few fish compared with what they expected, according to John Fricke, local conservation officer. The fish just arent there in the numbers we expected . . . We're beginning to think they hunter safety course sponsored by the Box Elder Wildlife federation will hold registration Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the federations range house at Mantua. John McNary will again teach the class. Registration fee is $2 and the class will be limited to the first 25 to sign up. Students must attend all classes to certify. The course is necessary to purchase a hunting license in the state of Utah if between the ages of 12 and 21. The course will be held three evenings a week1 for a total of six nights in two weeks.
