The session will be conducted in the Mantua LDS ward cultural hall beginning at 8:30 p.m. All citizens of the town are invited to attend. Town President Darwin Hailing and Trustee Stewart Reeves on Oct. 28 approached Brigham City councilmen with the proposition, termed the most feasible alternative in a preliminary study on Mantuas disposal problem. It would see a former water line running down Box Elder canyon updated with a plastic liner and used to connect to Brigham Citys sewage collection system. Treatment would be at the Brigham City plant. It would relive a current situation in which a high water table lessens the efficiency of septic tanks. The result is sewage rising to the surface and running off in open ditches. Brigham City officials were enthusiastic about the proposal and named a committee to work with Mantua representatives on it. Davis, Salt Lake and Utah counties.
