CHILDREN'S Miss Jolee Asay and Randy N. Thompson exchanged marriage vows in the Logan LDS temple on Sept. 12, with President Gregerson officiating at the ceremony. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Asay of Brigham City, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Thompson. Immediately following the temple ceremony a wedding breakfast was hosted at Sherwood Hills by the parents of the bridegroom. That evening a wedding reception honored the couple at the Brigham City North LDS stake center where a garden scene had been created by foliage trees surrounding Ladies of NATION S BIRTHDAY will be a topic of discussion at Women s Legislative Council's first with Catherine meeting Jaggi, corresponding secretary, and Dr. Betty Janiak, recording secretary, studying in advance for the event. Bridal Gown For her wedding and reception, the bride chose a long gown of polyester satin styled with a high edged in lace, a lace bodice and cuffs, and flower motifs on the sleeves. Her floorlength veil of bridal illusion was released from a dainty juliet cap. Cherie Cox, aunt of the bride, was Maid of Honor and was gowned in a blue check gingham princess style dress with puffed sleeves and a wide flouce at the hemline. Bridesmaids Emily Barker, the brides sister, Cinde Asay, and the bridegrooms sisters, Julie and Susan Thompson, wore pink check gowns styled similarly to that of the maid of honor. Each wore a carnation corsage tied to her wrist. Mother of the bride wore a pink polyester satin dress styled with butterfly sleeves, and a gathered bodice and skirt. The bridegrooms mother wore a pink princess style polyester knit floor length dress with butterfly seeves. Best Man Ron Thompson, brother of the bridegroom, and the fathers of the couple wore light blue. Ushers were Gregg Nielsen, Rick Thompson, brother of the bridegroom, and the brides brother Alan Asay. At reception During the reception organ Box Elder Womens Legislative Council will have a doubleduty meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 8, as they meet at 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs rhambers of the Chamber of Commerce build- - legislation. Each local then sends its delegates to statewide meetings, where they serve a twofold purpose to bring local opinion on state issues and to gain' information to pass along to the home affiliate. This years delegates will include Ruth Iverson, Alma Alex and Nellie Wight of Brigham City ; Betty Misrasi, Marge Oyler and Mildred Shumway of Tremonton. Mrs. Caryl Hepworth, Mrs. Betty Thompson and Mrs. Marcella Hume arranged the trousseau for display. Out of state guests attending the wedding festivities included Mr. and Mrs. Burl Cox, Cheri Cox, Phyllis and Colleen Cheatham of Lovell, Wyo., and Mrs. Bill Stirling of Boise, Idaho. Prenuptial showers honoring the bride were given by Emily Barker and Mrs. James Barker; Mrs. Fred Barker, Mrs. John Hepwroth and Mrs. Arnold and Mrs. Lynn Thompson Haramoto. After a short honeymoon trip, the couple are making a home in Brigham City. The Ladies of Elks bazaar will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, and will include all sorts of 10 and tricycles, tools, clothing, furniture, and an assortment of attic treasures including collectors items will be on sale for the two days. In addition, there will be a special table for male shoppers and a toy table for the younger set. Throughout the day on Saturday a snack bar will serve sloppy joes, homemade pies, and beverages for shoppers and workers at the rummage sale. Donations for the sale will be taken at Gillespie hall or the church up through Friday morning, with the sale to be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and then open all day on Saturday. Women will be working on Thursday afternoon to set up the tables and necessary racks. Proceeds are to go for equipment and repairs in Gillespie hall, which not only used by the church but by many other church and community groups.
