Show BOX Garden club sets annual ELDER NEWS, Brigham City, Utah Sunday, April 20, 1975 plant sale Temple rite weds pair Spade and Hope Garden club will hold its annual plant sale in the parking lot of Safeway on Impressive rites performed in the Logan LDS temple united Miss Kathleen Rowe and Robert Rick Toolson in marriage, with the ceremony performed by President Lloyd Hunsaker. The bride was radiant in a lovely floor length gown of d crepe fashioned in Grecian style with cutwork medalians at the neckline and heavy embroidered lace edging the bodice and sleeves. Her fingertip veil of bridal illusion was released from a dainty white latticework cap. She carried an airy bouquet of daisies, miniature roses, and babybreath to complete the bridal ensemble. Friday, April until 3 p.m. pretty plants, and tables checked with decorated gingham and strawberries. Best man was Clark Hillyard while ushering duties were performed by William H. Junior ushers were David Jenson and Lance Robinson. from 10 a.m. shurbs, Houseplants, groundcovers, perennials, strawberries, etc. will be on sale during those hours. Proceeds from the sale are used for beautificiation projects in the community and for flower shows sponsored for the community. Anyone interested in donating plants is invited to do so, and they will be much appreciated since the late spring has held up the plantings in many areas of the city. Mothers of the bride and bridegroom wore floorlength pink crepe dresses with corsages matching the brides bouquet. Flower girls Janet Jansen and Tara Robinson were gowned in country style. Decor for the community, center was set in country spring fashion, with a spinning wheel, 25, Civic Eagle auxiliary will honor past presidents Members of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Fraternal Order of Eagles will hold their annual charter members and past presidents night on Wednesday, April 23, at the Aerie Home. A special ceremony honoring charter members of the local chapter, and also honoring all past presidents will begin at 8 p.m. A light meal will be served following the meeting, according to chairman Mary Scothern. In keeping with the Art Week Sarah Yates, women s editor theme, the program will feature the fine arts in the form of a musical program by the Box Elder Junior High school Girls Concert Choir under the direction of Jay Valentine. The choir has presented a number of programs in grade pearances in the remaining weeks of school. Higley to honor them on their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, April 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. at their home in Wells, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Higley were married on April 30, 1915 in Ogden. Mr. Higley was born in Brigham City on September 14, 1895 and grew up there. After his marriage to Phoebe Cherry d for six years in they Utah and Idaho before he was employed by Southern Pacific railroad. This employment brought them to Nevada where they have since resided. He retired as a railroader after 35 years and now enjoys raising sheep, a garden and riding his horses. Mrs. Higley was born .November 19, 1899 in Central, Arizona and was raised in the Perry-Willar- d area.
