Show vivii Spring fashions feature merchants and home styles This years Ladies Com- munity Club fashion show will include not only clothing from local businesses, but has added a new dimension to the show with the inclusion of home sewn fashions. According to show Kay Peterson and Caroline Criddle, the annual event will be held on Thursday, April 17, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Intermountain School. The theme for this years Indian show is appropriately Summer reflecting the citys interest in Indian culture, the hosting of the show in recent years on the school campus, and also the entertainment that will be provided by the Nez family during the evenings show. Guest Narrators Guest narrators will be John and Norma Petersen of Ogden, with his being sports information director at Weber State college and Mrs. Petersen being an accomplished artist. Scriptwriters are Caroline Criddle and Lillian Westover, and they are busily going over lists of fashions to be modeled from sponsoring merchants and fashions also the home-sew- n that will provide primarily by members of the club. Sponsoring merchants providing clothing and accessories include Sonomas, Zundels Hers, Classic Fashion, (tiiu Blocks. There willivvj'vta also be doorprizes donated by other sponsoring merchants to add even more fun to the evening. Tickets are priced at one dollar and may be purchased from any club member or at the door. Proceeds from the annual event go to community projects sponsored by the civic organization. Relief Society will sponsor nursing class Relief societies throughout the Brigham City area will sponsor classes open to anyone interested in Red Cross home nursing, with persons interested in the courses asked to contact the Relief society president in their area for times and location of the classes. The official Red Cross course concentrates on home nursing skills and geratrics for both use in the home and in volunteer positions in nursing homes. Brigham City North stake Relief society recently hosted the course of instruction for volunteers in home nursing, and found that there were requests for the same course in the community in general. Anyone may attend, not just Relief society members, stated a Red Cross representative. Better You is theme for fl BOX ELDER NEWS, Brigham City, Utah Sunday, April 13, 1975 womens event Relief societies of the Seventh and 18th LDS ward will sponsor a daylong womens event themed "A Better You on Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An invitation is extended to all women in the city to attend, and tickets are being sold by members of the Relief society. The morning session will include a program and guest speaker, with Mrs. Audra Moss discussing the Do's and Donts of Discipline with those attending invited to participate in discussion. A lunch break is planned from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and participants may either bring a lunch and go home for that time. From 1 to 5 p.m. a series of fun are scheduled for" all participants, and they have been arranged so that everyone may take each course r during the period. Subjects for the classes include top stitching, knot it and hang it, cake decorating, safe and sane toymaking, family food fun, really neat pockets, sundried flowers, and fusibles in sewing. There will be doorprizes during the day just to add to the fun, and tickets for the entire day are priced at only one dollar. There will also be some extra cookies for sale downtown by the older troops, Mrs. Neil Hoesel, neighborhood cookie chairman, suggests that customers who ordered cookies try to have funds on hand for them since the girls are not supposed to take checks from strangers.
