Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. William L. Packer, 423 East First South, Brigham City. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Mrs. Della W. Deem of Harrisville and the late Orville F. Deems. The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Miss Janet Curtis to Richard P. White is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Von R. Curtis, RFD 1, Brigham City. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Paul H. White of Richfield. reception honoring the couple was held in the garden at the home of the bride's parents. Aug. and reception, the bride chose a lovely gown of nylon chiffon underlaid with taffeta styled with a modified empire bodice with a set-i- n band of French lace. Topping the gown's deep yoke of French lace trimmed with ruffled lace with a stand-ucollar with ruffled lace, while the full lace covered sleeves ended in a cuff fastened with eight covered buttons. The full skirt of the gown was ruffled at the hemline and topped with delicately edged French lace. Miss Curtis is a graduate of Box Elder High school and LDS Seminary.
