Zundel was presented an award from the press Friday night for an open adhaving had ministration during his terms. Jensen handed Zundel the award during the reception and dinner at the Brigham City community center. All contestants will take part in Peach Days programs and festivities. JUNIOR CONTESTANTS Junior Royalty selected for Peach Days petite n pretty girls modeled their party dresses in the annual Junior Peach Queen contest held on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the Brigham City Community center under the direction of the Ladies Community club. Junior royalty was chosen by a drawing, with little Julie Harrod, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Harrod and sponsored by Alpha Chi chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, selected ad crowned as queen. Her court of four attendants includes Rees, Sherilyn daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rees, sponsored by Civic Improvement club; Kathy Miggin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Miggin, sponsored by Ladies Community club; Carol Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jones, sponsored by the BPO Elks lodge, and Connie Craig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Craig, sponsored by Thirty-fiv- e Preceptor Sigma Phi. chapter of Beta Contestants Other contestants par- ticipating in the event, who will also appear on the float in the Junior Peach Days parade on Friday and the Peach Days parade on Saturday, include Carol Ann Anderson, daughter of Neal and Kay Anderson, J.C. Carol Jenkins headed a committee of members from Ladies' Community club who handled the contest and served refreshments to the little girls and their parents following the junior pageant. Mrs. Jenkins reports that several little girls who were sponsored did not attend the contest, but are invited to participate in the other activities although they were ineligible for the drawing. First practice for the goup will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Central school, and all contestants should be present. jn He said of the former mayor, "I thought youd be a little at the store and a little at city hall, but come to find out youve been into every darn thing. A seriously injured while driving a tractor on a Box Elder county Frank J. Neilson, 35, was listed in fair condition Saturday at the McKay hospital in Ogden. According to Box Elder County Sheriff Warren W. Hyde, Neilson was discing in a Bothwell field at the time of the mishap. He suffered head and hand injuries and lost his right leg. The victim was working on the farm of his brother-in-laBob Martin, one and a half miles west and one mile south of 'Tremonton. The accident was reported at 4 p.m. Deputy Curtis Larsen investigated the incident. According to Sheriff Hyde, Neilson was thrown off the tractor when it went through a ditch. He was pinned , unde? the tractors turning wheels. discovered His brother-in-lahim and, he and Duane Rupp of West Tremonton freed the victim. The incident was reported to have happened early Saturday morning, according to the sheriffs office.
