A hospitalized veteran with dependents will continue to receive the full amount of his pension as a result of a new law recently signed by the President, according to Elmer J. Smith, manager of the Salt Lake Regional office of the Veterans administration. Previously, when these veterans were in VA hospitals more than their pension paytwo months, ments were reduced to $30 a month, with the balance sent to their family in a separate check. This often resulted in delayed payments, Smith said, adding that continued full payments to the veteran, himself, should speed up this service. The $30 a month pension limitation still applies to hospitalized veterans with no dependents. Smith said.
