Guest speaker for the day was Kate B. Carter, state president of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She presented the keynote talk of the day, followed by reports from the camp captains. Musical num bers were presented by the Co rinne camp and the Oak camp. New officers elected for the com r term included Afton ing Rees of Brigham City as president, Mary Anderson of Bear River City as first vice president, and Marjorie Stenquist of Tremonton second vice president. All but one of the H camps in the county were represented at the annual convention. Emery Wight, County Civil Defense director, will talk on fallout shelters and on the preparation and storage of food. He will also show a film on the subject. Refreshments will be served during the evening and a musical number will be provided for entertainment, according to the president, Mrs. John E. Clark. PTA magazine subscriptions will be taken, and parents are asked to remember that membership is open all year. Included as a feature of the event, which is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 1, from 1 to 9 p. m. at the Church Fellowship Hall at 313 South First East, will be a doll show featuring dolls from many lands and under the chairmanship of Mrs. Ted Card. Other divisions will include needlework, crafts, Christmas decorations, baked goods and a white elephant sale. The men of the church will begin gelling hot dogs and soft drinks at 5:30 p. m., and afternoon visitors to the affair will find refreshments at a table handled by the ladies circles. Projects for the bazaar should be turned in to the chairmen by Wednesday, Nov. 29, while baked goods will be received until 10:30 m. on Friday, Dec. 1. Pioneer Cookbook" was presented by Jean Jones after which a sketch of the life of Margaret Pace Rawson was given by Edna Christensen. Plans for the Christmas party were discussed.
