The bid opening took place last Thursday at the Bureau of Reclamation office in Ogden. The apparent low bid was far under the next two low bids which were $45,065 by George M. Brewster and Sons, Inc., Bogota, N. J., and $45,502.50, Waterfall Construction company, Ogden. There were 15 bids entered with the high being $118,150, bureau officials said. The slope to be stabilized is on the west side of the Union Pacific railroad tracks west of Willard.
