G. Williams, southwest of Salt l.ake City. This evening, an overnight bivouwac, designed resemble combat living conditions takes place. Saturday, activities will honor Governor George D. Clyde, commander in chief of the Utah National Guard at the Ordnance Depot in Tooele discolses Maj. Gen. Maxell E. Kieh, Adjutant General. Screaming Eagles According to Gen. Rich, his staff has worked long, arduous hours in arrranging Saturdays program for the public. A special feature of the planned demonstration is an airborne assault on Tooele Ordnance depot by the Screaming Eagles" of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Camp bell, Ky. Included in the demonstration Is the parachuting of 100 combat equipped men along with 105mm howitzers, trucks and jeeps. The assault holds special significance for Utah, accords a National Guard news release, since 32 airborne Special Forces will be organized in the state during July. Governors Day will mark the first week of military technical training for the Guardsmen. Dur ing thsi week, Brighams artillerymen have fired rounds of high eyplosive 105mm, 155nim anil eight inch ammunition as part of the training program. At the same time engineers have hacked out new roadways and improved rough road already constructed through several regions in the Wasatch Mountains. Maintain Operations Special units, Including ordnance units, the 23rd Army and Band, State Headquarters the Military Police Company are maintaining operations at the Camp Williams trainiing center. Salt Lake Citys 144th Evacuation Hospital is fulfilling its two weeks of training at the U. S. Army Hospital at Fort Ord, Calif. A skeleton crew of the hospital staff remains to operate hospital facilities at Camp Williams. Air National Guardsmen spent a busy week at the Air National Guard's base at Salt Lake Muni cipal airport, learning tactics of air defense. Most Successful This year's camp thus far has proved to be one of the most successful with more accomplished during the week than any other encampment of the Utah National Guard, said Gen. Rich.
