The rapid growth of our community in population makes certain that more water for culinary and industrial use will soon become an emergency it it has not already reached that condition. It is evident that the administrative officers of our city are keenly aware of this situation by reason of their nearness to the problem, and have been working diligently to solve it by advance planning. It is truly remarkable that additional water sources have been explored and found feasible to bring together and corelated to serve irrigation and culinary needs of the eity and its environs for many years with continued normal growth. Ample water supply is the lift blood of any growing community and so of Brigham's future. The officers and assistants who have gone into every aspect of this project seriously studying and planning it in the public interest have not done so hurriedly, but with due ime to consider it thoroughly, and deliberately come to the conclusion of what is Dest for Brigham City inhabitants and the citys future growth. And that as I have seen and heard it exnlained, is good enough for me. Shibati was bom in Garland, starred in football and track at Bear River High before later becoming the first Japanese-American to be appointed to West Point. He graduated in 151 and spent time in Korea as a jet pilot Upon his return from service he has attended school in California and just last June graduated from University of Southern California.
