He was born April 19, 1895, In Brigham City to Chris and Anna Schow Holst. He married Lucille Nichols Oct. 20, 1917, In Evanston, Wyo. lie was a member of the LDS church and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include the widow, a 'daughter, Mrs. Harold S. (Paula) Critchlow, Dugway, Tooele county; five grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Rilla Poulton, Mrs. Hortense Domberg, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lyle Mortensen, Logan. Welch, 60, of Para dlse, Cache county, died Sunday at his home of a heart attack. He was born Nov. 30, 1898, a Son of John and Rebecca Ann Shaw Welch. On May 20, 1931, he married Viola Sorenson in the Salt Lake LOS temple. He had worked as a farmer and postal worker, and had served as a city councilman for three terms. He was serving as justice of the peace at the time of his death.
