After their marriage he taught music in the Davis county school district until 1904. He then attended school .at Ann Arbor, Mich. Returning to Utah in 1906 he taught at the old Brigham Young college in Logan, and then returned to school at the college of music. Northwestern University in Evanston, 111. He his music degree obtained there. Since that time he has instruc, ted music in Davis county; Idaho; Brigham City for 12 years, and in the Granite school district for 17 years. He retired in 1944 and moved with his wife to their present home at 679 W. 7200 South, Orchard. Mrs. Mann was born Aug. 7, a West Bountiful, 1879, in daughter of Joseph Ilyrum and Eva Eldredge Grant. At the age of 17 she performed violin solos in the stake tabernacle. For more than 50 years she has given violin instruction and still plays the violin for her own amusement. Last year she was named Mother of the Year in the Davis district. They are the parents of 12 sons and daughters, nine of whom are living. They are; David Horace, Grant E., Neal E, and Ray E, all of Bountiful; Alan G. and Mrs. Ernest B.
