Here from their home in Ida ho Falls were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cannon and son to spend Thanksgiving with Mrs. Cannon is the former Karen Eskel-een- . Arriving from Boise for the holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hansen and four children to dine with Mr. Hansens parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Oman and children, Gregory, Michael and Kirk, were dinner guests Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Harry I. Smith. Included on the guest list also were Mr. and Mrs. Kenton Jensen and children, Diana, Steven and Grace Ann. Twenty family members gathered at the J. Y. Ferry home for Thaksgiving. Family members enjoying dinner were Mr. and i'O - Mrs. John L. Holmes and family and Mrs. Donna Best and children, Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Miles Ferry and children, Miss Vesta Ferry, and Mrs. Charlotte Ferry, Corinne; and Mr. and Mrs. Reese Beeton and Mrs. Afton Mason, Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Beasley headed for a warmer climate for their holiday. They spent Thanksgiving in Las Vegas with their daughter, Virginia, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Merrell found Culver City, Calif., a delightful spot to enjoy the traditional turkey at the home of Mrs. Merrells son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Carter. Informative Meeting An informative and interesting meeting was held by Beehive Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Saturday evening, Nov. 29, at the home of Mrs. Lucille Berchtold. Robert Berchtold entertained with two vocal selections accompanied by his sister, Moana. Twenty good cheer visits were Mrs. Verda Knavel reported on the recent convention held at Corinne. She related that Mrs. Kate Carter, national president, asked that all camps have choruses; display the American flag and begin meeting with pledge to flag; write histories, get new members and keep lessons brief. A sketch of the life of Jacob B. Bigler was given by his grandt daughter, Mrs. Berchtold. Mrs. Merna Ellis read Gods Handiwork, a poem appearing in the new Pioneer Heritage book. Christmas party plans were made for Dec. 19 at the home of Mrs. Virgie Harding with gifts to be exchanged. Mrs. Violet Tingey offered closing prayer. Timely Relief Society Bazaar Set Saturday Tenth ward Relief society bazaar, just in time to buy for Christmas giving, will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, in the recreation hall beginning at 6 p. m. Plate lunch including salad, dessert and drinks will be included on the supper menu. Door prizes for lucky man, woman and child will be given during the evening. Bazaar items will go on sale at 7 p. m. Included, in the sale items are many pillow case sets, lovely aprons, dish towels, beautiful doll clothes, handkerchiefs, a silk quilt, baby quilts and various novelty items. A fish pond will entertain children and homemade candy, baked items and popcorn balls will also be for sale. Program will begin at 7:30 p. Year by the Utah State University Faculty Womens League. Eighty-twyear old Mrs. Merrill was honored in last Fridays League meeting by a panel of friends who paid tribute to her as an outstanding individual in many fields. Mrs. H. Cecil Baker presided at the meeting and introduced forMrs. Duane G. Chadwick, mer student and family friend of Mrs. Merrill. Five panel members were presented by Mrs. Chadwick. Called Citizen of World Long-timfriend, Mrs. J. A. Hulme, called Mrs. Merrill a citizen of the world, and listed her quelities of friendship. Former principa of Logan Junior High school, Alvin W. Hess, described Mrs. Merrills capabilities as a librarion and said, she had laid the foundation and set the standard for what has now become one of the leading junior high libraries in the state. K. Melcomium, president of USU Cosmopolitan club, cited Mrs. Merrills services to foreign students on the USU campus. Mrs. Merrill has taught the English language to a number of these students.
