Cornell University Prof. Harlan B. Brumsted, an authority on wildlife management, advises spring and summer campers to leave apparently abandoned small animals strictly alone. He said persons often find and bring home baby deer, raccoons, bears and skunks. No matter how much loving care you think you can give a wild baby, you cant do as good a job as its mother, he pointed out. Once the animals mature, many can be dangerous, particularly deer, bear and raccoons. After they lose their fear, they may attack and injure you or your children. Brumstead advised persons to call a game protector if they find a baby animal in the forest. He pointed Out that wild animals rarely abandon their young. 2-- WANTED Experienced Waitress Apply In Person TROPICAL RESTAURANT .only experienced waitresses acceptable. This means a rebate of two cents per gallon on more than three million gallons. The value of this rebate to Utah farmers will undoubtedly be much higher during the past fiscal year, since the federal gas tax has been raised to three cents a gallon, Representative Dixon said. Dixon also urged farmers to take full advantage of this rebate of the federal tax on gasoline used on farms and pointed out that Sept. 30 is the deadline for filing claims with the Bureau of Internal Revenue. Forms can be secured from counnty agents. The Utah lawmaker observed that only 3,257 farmers requested refunds in fiscal 1957, while the 1954 census revealed there are 15,976 farmers in Utah, infarmers dicating that many have not yet taken advantage of this gas tax refund.
