Rituals and installation ceremonies were read by Mrs. Luella McFarlane, with President Leah Barker and Vice President Erma Jenson conducting. The Exemplar members, Wilma Spaulding, Edna Jeppsen and DeAnn Ebeling, repeated in unison the beautiful candlelight rituals. Musical numbers were given by Mrs. Lillian Felt accompanied by Mrs. Deon Lichtenstein. Dinner was served on the patio of the Barker home. Final Meeting Held The final meeting of the season for Xi Alpha Chapter members was held at the home of Mrs. Erma Jenson. Mrs. Leah Barker, newly installed president, conducted the business session. Greetings were extended to the new Exemplar members. Mrs. Lee Sederholm gave the lesson, Friendship in Beta Sigma Phi, with group participation. Mrs. Jenson gave a summary of all cultural lessons given in the chapter during the past year. Hostess gift was won by Mrs. Barker. After lessons were completed, meeting adjourned until September. Lovely refreshments were serv ed by the hostess. Busy Holiday Weekend The Board of Education is offering a free course m instrumental music this summer to boys and girls in this area. The classes will begin Monday, June 9, and are open to students who have never had previous music training, as well as students who have already started on an instrument. Instructors will be Wayne Johnson and Earl Johnston, who stated this week that an error had been made at the time of seventh grade registration, ruling out the possibility of a seventh grade student registering for orchestra or band at the Box Elder Junior High school. The instructors stated that be these registrations will changed if a student wants to enroll in one of these classes rather than general music for which he has already registered. The schedule of instruction provides that all beginners in Brigham City should meet Monday morning at 9 a m at the Box Elder High school band room Wednesday, June 11, the eighth grade band will meet at 9 a. m. and the lunior high school orchestra will meet at 19 a m. at the BE1IS band room A special class in twirling will begin Wednesday, June 11, at 11 a in for students up to the eighth grade Thursday, June 12, Mantua students w'lll meet at the Mane tua school at 1.30 p m , and students will meet at the Corinne school at 1 39 p m. Brigham Girl Graduates From Weber As Nurse Miss Kayle Tingey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin P. Tingey, 378 North Fifth East, was among the 23 graduates of the Weber College School of Nursing at commencement exercises Saturday evening in Ogden. Miss Tingey entered the Weber College Nursing program on r a scholarship awarded her by the Brigham City Civic Improvement club.
