(Utah) Band Leader Slates Chamber to Vote On Office-Touri- st Practices for Week Bureau Proposal A meeting of the Box Elder Chamber of Commerce has been called for Thursday at 8 p. m. in the chamber rooms to vote on a proposed combination office and tourist information bureau at Seventh South and Main street. The proposition will be put to a vote of the general membership. The board of directors voted favorably on it last: week. According to president C. J. Beasley, the move has been suggested in the interest of economy and contacting the great number of tourists which pass through Brigham City during the summer. Good Samaritan Mrs. MEMPHIS, Tenn. (UP) Mildred Davis and her husband were en route to Nashville, Tenn., when their automobile caught fire and was destroyed. While looking at the damage, Mrs. Davis said a man, driving a car with Ohio license plates, stopped and without giving his name, handed them a $20 bill. Mrs. Davis said the stranger said he hoped it would help. FARGO, N. D. (UP) Mr. and Henry Valentine expect to have an easy time remembering their sons birthday. He was born Feb. 14, 1958, Valentine Day. Mrs. Bond Sales Total $43,569 During April T. Frank Coppin, chairman of U. S. Savings Bonds committee for South Box Elder county, reports the purchase of $43,569 in series E and H bonds for the month of April. Wayne Johnson, director of the Box Elder High school band, announced this week that practices will be held this evening, Wednesday, Thursday, and Monday, June 2, at 7 p. m., at the band room. The rehearsals are in preparation for the appearance of the local band at the All Star baseball game in Ogden on June 9.
