It consists of five events, the high jump, broad jump, dash, basketball shoot, and ball put. Participants are given an equal chance of winning by alscore lowing each a according to age, weight and Winners Will Compete On Saturday, the local winners will go to Salt Lake City to compete in the Intermountain finals. Winners from Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona and Wyoming will be entered. The first-placwinners will receive $150 scholarships to any Utah college or university. His standout achievements included victories in the high jump, broad jump, basketball shooting, and dash. He failed to win only the ball put event. Finishing second behind was Harold Thompson. Stephan Josephson was first in the ball put in the junior division and came in for third-plachonors. Other high-poigetters were David Evans, fourth; Bobby Olsen, fifth; Grant Jensen, sixth; Clark Davis, seventh, and Kenneth Anderson, eighth. More than 100 youngsters competed in the meet which drew participants from throughout Box, Elder county. Factors of age, weight, and height were considered in equalizing the competition.
