Ave. HI Pierpont Lake Salt City, Utah Jan. 59 State Readies Plans for Hearings " On Interstate Highway in County Volume 61, Number 13 Brigham City, Utah, Wednesday Morning, March 26, 1958 Eight Pages Citizens Invited to Hearings Slated Monday At Brigham City and Wednesday at Tremonton The State Road Commission is completing plans for public hearings in Box Elder county on the Interstate Highday System to be constructed here. Meeting will be conducted in Brigham City on Monday, March 31, at 10 ajn. in the BEHS auditorium, and on Wednesday, April. 2, at 10 a.m .in the Tremonton First ward chapel. It is expected that Ernest H. Pacific Oil.Seeds Inc. Will Contract - Safflower Seed in BE County This Year Dr. Carl C. Claassen, president of Pacific Oil Seeds Inc., contacted County Agent A. Fullmer Allred by telephone Monday, to announce that Pacific Oil .Seeds company will again contract safflower seed in Box Elder county and surrounding areas. Approximately 5,000 acres of safflower was grown in this county last year. Contracts will be available at the Erv Stohl Warehouse in Tremonton and at Crowthers Milling Co. in Malad, Idaho. Farmers are urged to sign contracts in the immediate future so the company will know the amount of seed which will be required here, Allred said. Cost of the seed will again be eight dollars per hundred pounds and it will be made available at Stohls warehouses and at Crowthers mill. Pacific Oil Seeds Inc. will pay $70 per ton for the harvested seed, the president told Allred. Farmers are reminded that safflower seed can be planted in acreage where the government will not allow the growth of wheat, Allred concluded. of the State Balch, member Road Commission representing Northern Utah, will be in attendance at the meetings.
