Show Short Illness Claims Former Brigham Woman In Ogden Mrs. Mary Elvira Sackett Gilbert, 71, Army Way, Washington Terrace, died Sunday in the D?e hospital after a short Illness. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of the LDS Terrace Fourth ward and had been secretary of the She genealogical committee. had formerly served as work director and counselor in the Nineteenth ward Relief society. She was born Oct. 9, 1886, In Brigham City, to Samuel A. and Mary Petersen Sackett. She was married to Frank Gilbert in Brigham City, July 11, 1906. He died Dec. 21, 1943. Survivors include five sons, Frank R. Gilbert, Ferris D. Gilbert, Melvin S. Gilbert, Clyde L. Gilbert, and G. Blaine Gilbert, Ogden; four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Jewel) Shaver, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Howard (Hazel) Fisher, Richland, Wash.; Mrs. David E. (Donna) Mason; Mrs. Arthur E. (Reata Bowman, El Monte, Calif.; 24 grandchilfive dren, one brothers, Estress Sackett, Brigham City; Harry Sackett, Gol den Sackett and Ervin Sackett, all of California; Don Sackett, Orem; two sisters, Mrs. Annette Hudson, California; Mrs. Julia Jones, Orem; two Orval and William Sackett, Brigham City; four Mrs. Henry O. Johnson and Mrs. Laura Gilbert, Btlgham City; Mrs. Ernest Lehnherr, and Mrs. Theron Ockey, Salt Lake City. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday in Ogden by Bishop Reed Hodgkinson. Burial was in Brigham City cemetery. 8 half-sister- Friday Leo II. Voungquist, 56, 613 Fifth street, Ogden, did Friday morning in the Dee hospital of a heart ailment. He was a former resident of Brigham Ctty. Youngquist was a carpenter and had been employed at Hill Air Force base until three yeats ago when illness forced his retirement. He moved to Ogden from Brigham City five years ago. He was a member of the Eighth LDS ward and the Carpenters Union, Local 1886. He was born April 3, 1901, in Brigham City to Thomas and Annie Johnson Youngquist. He married Lillian Egbert in Brigham City, April 9, 1924. Survivors include his widow; one son and three daughters, Ronald Leo Youngquist, Miss Donna Youngquist, Mrs. Carl (Doris) Singleton, and Mrs. Jack two (Joyce) Owens, Ogden; grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Dorothy) Miller, Great Falls, Mont.; Mrs. Gerty Hamp-son- , Mrs. Fred (Birdie) Hanline, and Mrs. Ray (Floretta) Bow-cut- t, Brigham City. Funeral services were conducted Monday by Bishop Kimball Black. Burial was in the Brigham City cemetery. Phone Curb Sought The LEWISTON, Me. Nelson, HI, in Bountiful. Mrs. Nelson Is the wife of David G. Nelson, Jr., a member of the Box Elder County Board of Education. PHONE She was born Jan. 20, 1898, in Stone, Idaho, a daughter of August and Emma Andersen Eliason. Her family moved to Snowville, where she received elementary education. They moved to Brigham City in 1913 where she graduated from Box Elder High schooL She was married to Mr. Nelson on Jan. 7, 1920, in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS temple in June, 1922. They made their home in Snowville at the time of their marriage and have lived there since. Mrs. Nelson has served as president of the Young Ladies Mutual Improvement Assn.; as president of the Relief society, and served as a Relief society teacher in the Snowville LDS ward. She also served on the Relief society stake boards in Curley and Bear River stakes. Surviving are her husband, five sons and daughters: D. G. Nelson III and Dallas Nelson of Bountiful; Rolf Nelson of Ogden; Mrs. Delbert (Beverly) Rossiter of Salt Lake City; and Mary K. Nelson of Snowville; eight grandchildren; one sister and three brothers: Mrs. Leo (Ila) Cottom of Brigham City; Sid Eliason of Salt Lake City; Bert Eliason, Sr., of Stone, Idaho, and Chester Eliason of Holbrook, Idaho. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 1 p. m. in the Bear River stake tabernacle hi Alma Larkin, Garland, with bishop of the Snowville ward, presiding. She was bom June 17, 1864 in Brigham City, a daughter of Hans Nets and Karen Sophia Larsen Petersen . She was reared and educated in Brigham City.
