Councilmen voted unanimously in favor of having the office of the City Judge moved to the room adjacent to the court room before Jan. 1, 1958. Unanimius vote approved the recommendation that the Mayor and City Attorney be empower ed to write to Caldwell, Richards and Sorenson ordering that they complete their contract .in full immediately on the Sewage Disposal plant. Orion Eskelsen, superltendent of the city electric department, was requested to answer a letter from Vera Jensen concernand ing certain rights-of-waproperty exchanges, inasmuch as it affected Brigham City power lines which feed the power plant. The city office manager was authorized to inform Hunsaker Sand and Gravel company that Brigham City is not interested in disposing of the citys sandpit nor any part thereof. . The board voted that inasmuch as the District budget had already been prepared and approved according to regular procedure, . the matter should be taken under advisement to be studied for school year. the 1958-5Raises Student Body Fees The board members voted favorably that the Box Elder and Bear River High schools be allowed to collect a student body fee in the amount of $6 per student per year. The fee had been set at $5. The matter of transportation stuallowances for dents came to the attention of the board. They directed that allowances such transportation be confined to border school district of border states, where there can be a reciprocal agreement negotiated and that applications for transportation allowances for out of county students within the state be reviewed and considered by the board each time an application is presented. Bunderson was asked to bring a report to the board indicating the needs of applying blacktop at the Central, Willard, Lincoln and Bunderson schools. Bunderson reported the need , 9 pre-ioUs- a ventilating system in the auditorium and choral rooms at Box Elder High schools, also the front stake lights in the auditorium are ineffective and should be replaced with spotlights. He estimated cost of ventilating the structure at $7,000 and .of the choral room at $2,000, and cost of revamping the stage lights at $410. The board approved the ventilation system for the choral room only, and for the installation of spotlights for the stage. Office Closed on Saturdays Weight reported that to be in line with the office hours established by the Box Elder county commissioners for employees of Box Elder county, the office hours for employees of the school district will be from 8:30 s. m. to 5 p. m. with the offices being closed on Saturdays. Employ Teachers Upon the recommendation of Weight, board members approved the employment of Karen Anderson, William J. Skidmore, Verna Markham, Don E. Edval-soLeRoy Bunnell and Janice Nicholas, as teachers in the Box Elder County School District. Lynn Hailing was appointed to serve as supply and inventory supervisor. Board members requested that Bunderson procure bids for the cost of converting furnaces to gas burners at Box Elder High school and to submit the proposals for the boards consideration. Next meeting of the board will be Wednesday, Aug. 14.
