Show Biigham Coed Named I AC Open House Queen Bunny Reese Is Betrothed Charyl Palmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Oleen Palmer, Brigham City, was named Open at Utah State House Queen Agricultural college, Feb. 28. Miss Palmer was chosen from twelve other campus beauties. Open House is an intramural event held annually in which all the fraternities and clubs compete to display their talents in athletic events. Miss Palmer was sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon. She is with Alpha Chi Omega soionty and is a freshman student at USAC. Her attendants aie Jane McKinnon of Morgan and Pat Wallace of Logan. The betrothal and approaching marriage of Marilyn Martha (Bunny) Reese, daughter of Mrs. Emery J. Reese, Brigham City, and the late Mr. Reese, to Mr. Stephen Lane Johnston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. John1958 Yale Ave. (1075 ston, South), Salt Lake City, was announced Saturday. Miss Reese will be remembered as Miss Utah of 1952, and she represented the state in the Miss America pageant the same year, Miss Reese received the American Legion award as outstanding girl in 1952 at Box Elder High school. She served as vice president of the student-bodher senior year and was a delegate to Girls State in 1951 from Brigham City and represented Utah at Girls Nation in Washington, D. C. the same year. She is a graduate of Box Elder High school and the University of Utah, where she was well known in drama circles. She served as president of Kappa Gamma and was elected to Cwean, Mortar Board and Beehive. She also was a member of Spurs and Tau Kappa Alpha debate organization. Mr. Johnston will graduate in June from the U. of U. with a major in economics. He is a fnember of Beta Theta Pi.
