Show s ffMffflfMf Traiionlon Muiron Died Monday' FLUTE QUARTET Appearing on a B.E.II.S, Junior Division assembly program last week were left to right, Dee Glen Brightenburg, Wayne Cox, Robert Owen and David Hansen, who played a flute quartet number. They are members of the Junior Division beginners band class. Beginners Band account for the presence of stars thousands of tinns brighter than our sun. Dr. Huang, speaking at a recent joint meeting of the American Astronomical Society, said that the very luminous, early-typ- e stars probably are formed in the compressed layers between the colliding clouds. Presents Program i The members of Wayne John- sons beginning band class presented the assembly program on Dec. 7 at the Box Elder High school junior division, with Rex Reeder as master of ceremonies .Sergeant Ed Pitcher of the Utah Highway Patrol gave a short talk on traffic problems, followed by a Walt Disney cartoon entitled Monor Mania. 'Instrumental numbers included a flute quartet by Dee Glen Brightenburg, Wayne Cox, Robert Owen and David Hansen, who played Silent Night and O Suzannah; piano solos entitled, On the Lake, and Winter Wonderland were played by Gayle Ann Cutler; an accordion was played by solo, Jalousie, Jimmie Felt. Robert Owen played two piano solos entitled Melody of Love and Star of the East. Kent Oman played a saxophone solo, To a Wild Rose. Janet Shio, wearing a Japanese The native costume, danced Hyoton Boogie, using a recording of Japanese music for her acompaniment. ' Mrs. Alma (Elma) Price Allen, 65, of Tremonton, widow of Leo L." Allen, died Monday morning in the, Cooley Memorial hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Allen was a member of the LDS church. She had been a Relief society teacher and active in auxiliary organizations. She was born Dec. 31, 1890, in Goldsboro, N. C., a daughter of Jesse and Martha Price Price. The family came to Utah when she was eight years of age as converts to the LDS church. She graduated from thfc .Brigham Young college in Logan and later taught school In Richmond. In 1915 she was married to Mr. Allen in the Logan temple, , He died in 1931. Surviving are two sons1 and two daughters: Vern Allen of Denver: Mrs. Zane (Helen) Abbott of Panama City, Fla.; Mrs. Ralph (Betty) Maughan of Tooele: and Robert Lee Allen of Tremonton; 14 grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters, Sylvester Price of Ogden; Dan Price of Brigham City; Ezra Price of Smithfield; Elton Price of Logan; Mrs. Arthur Dent of Lewiston; Mrs. Preston Pond of Ogden, Mrs. Ben Luthie of Ogden and Mrs. Bessie Rigtrup of Salt Lake City. .
