He was born Nov. 20, 1884, at Bear River City, a son of Nels and Ellen Kristine Knudson Christensen, where he was rearI ed and educated. f He married Ida Braegger, on April 5, 1911, in .the Salt Lake LDS temple. He owned and operated a farm In Bear River City. He was a former mayor of Bear River City and had served on the town iboard there. He was a charter member of first Bear River City band, had been a director of Acme Water association. An active member of LDS church, he was a High Priest In the Bear River ward at the time of his death. He Is survived by his widow and five sons and daughters: Mrs. Oleen (Damsel) Nelson and Odell V. Christensen of Bear River City; Mrs. Golden (Emerene) Anderson of Bath-welBoyd M. Christensen, Sunset; Mrs. Merrill J. (Janae) Duke of Ogden; 14 grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Mrs. IFrona Frisby, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Gertrude Iverson, Bear River City; Hyrum Christensen and James Christensen, Brigham City; and Bans M. Christensen of Ogden. 'Funeral services will be conducted by Bishop Vernon Johnson ore Thursday at 1 p. m. dn the Bear River ward chapel. Friends may call at the family home Wednesday evening and Thursday morning prior, to time of services. Burial will be in the Bear River City cemetery under the direction of the Harold B.
