Show Betrothal of Carla Jensen Is Announced Brigham Native Is Candidate The betrothal of Miss Carla Jensen to Ward Secrist is being announced this week by her mother, Mrs. Vera Jensen, 241 West Forest street. Flemming Awards. The Flemming Awards recognize outstanding performances of duty by young men employed by agencies of the Executive department of the United States government. Ten awards are made annually, five for technical or scientific achievement, five for administrative or executive excellence. The San Franciscans name was one of five nominated by the Department of the Army for award consideration, according to word received today from Washington.
