Sac-- kett home., 'Mr. and Mrs. Korth. who have resided at North Brigham for many years are moving to Lay-- ' ton to make their home. a full Thursday everting course dinner was served to Mr. and Mrs. Lewis S. Wight, Mr and Mrs. W. W. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Orval E S.iekett, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon John and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jensen.. A lovely gift was presented to the Korths prior to their departure. The group, former members of tihe bishopric of the Seventh ward and officers of the Relief society, just recently completed ten years of service to the Seventh ward. Is Speaker Christensen By Bruce Hie Blver club of Box , Elder High school held an impressive, but banquet Monday night at 8:30 p. m. at the Forty-on- e Tropical Restaurant. of the 47 members were present. Special guests were the club sponsor, Mr. L. D. Wilde, the' guest speaker, Mr. Walter G. Mann, and Principal Edward Payne. President Phillip Horsley gave a short speech to welcome both old and new members. The blessing of the food was given by Ralph Anderson. The meal consisted of delicious chicken-friesteaks w'lth all the trimmings. Norton Cook was the head of the program committee with Larry Moyes, Sid Jensen and Reid Hansen as assistants. Reid Hansen conducted the program. Wesley Bowman sang a song. Wall Mann talked on safety from a lawyers point of view. The talk, filled with witty comments, was ac eepted enthusiastically by the members. Mr. Wilde then talked, giving words of encouragement to the club and stressing the joys received through service. Principal Payne talked on what good the club could" do for the school. The time was then turned back to President Horsley who in turn adjourned the banquet. Comments were made by the officers. President Horsley, Vice President Emery, Sec. Christensen, and Sergeant at Arms Packer, that the banquet is a true example of how our club is a going to be in the future great success. d First Meeting of the New Year for the American Jegion Auxiliary was held Monday evening at which time newly elected officers of the organization were installed.
