The course will be given for credit or auditing, and will be held in the Brigham City Carnegie library. He has completed, an LDS mission in Australia and served for two years with the U. S. Army ' in Germany. He plans to continue his schooling at the Utah State Agricultural college In Logan. Harding are observing their 50th wedding anniversary September 18 with open house at their home In Willard. Friends and relatives are invited to call Sunday between the hours of two and six oclock. No gifts are requested. The affair is really, a threefold celebration. Along with the golden wedding anniversary both Mr. and Mrs. Harding will be observing their birthday anniversaries. Mr. Harding was born in Willard, September 18, 1873, son of Charles and Matilda Harding. LDS Mr. Harding, an active member, fulfilled an LDS mission 1900-0in the Swiss German mission field. Upon bis honorable release following 37 months service lie went directly to Rexburg, where he was prin cipal of the school there. It was in Rexburg be meit his wife, the former Edith iBlackburn. Mrs. Harding was bom Edith Blackburn, daughter of Alfred L. and Mary Jane Blackburn, in Ogden, September 15, 1882. In She spent her childhood Salt Lake City where she was a member of the Juvenile Choir under the direction of Evan Ste phens. She also studied music and voice culture while there. She moved to Rexburg, Idaho in 1896 and attended the Ricks Academy, Where She was active in music circles. She became the bride of Daniel F. Harding In the Salt Lake LDS temple in September 1905. Mrs. Harding has worked in many capacities in the LDS church. She served as superin tendent of the ' religion ' class, Chorister for Primary, Sunday school, MIA and South Box Elder Stake Sunday School board. Final Rites Local Girls to Held for Mrs. Graduate From Elvira Funk Nursing School iFuneral services were conducted In the Third ward chapel on Tuesday, September 6, for Mrs. Seena Elvira Petersen Funk, 73, who died early Sunday morning, September 4, at the family home. Bishop Eberhart Zundel presided. Family prayer at the mortuary was offered by Dr. Wynn Andersen. Prelude and postlude were played by Mrs. Nellie Wight. Following the Invocation by Kenneth Hailing, Herman and Norman Andreason sang Oh My Father. Remarks were offered by Lewis Jones followed by a violin solo, "Whispering Hope by Harold B. Felt. Boyd K. Packer spoke followed by remarks by Bishop Zundel. Closing song, In the Garden was sung by Mrs. Vella Sackett. She taught school in Box Elder county and was licensed as a dentist in 1903, practicing In Brigham City and Salt Lake Citiy until 1945. She still holds her license and continues to do some dental work.
