John Gibbs Wheatley, T4, a Fort Collins, Colo., resident and formerly of Honeyvllle, died there last Thursday after an Illness of nine years. Born June 28, 1879 at Harper Ward, Box Elder county, he was a son of Thomas and Mary Ellen Gibbs Wheatley. He grew up in Honeyville, went to the USAC in Logan and filled a mission for the LDS church in England from 1900-02- . He operated a mercantile business in Honeyville for several years, was Honeyville mayor for one term, ward clerk for 10 years and 'Box Elder county clerk for two terms. Mr. Wheatley was married to Rosa May Boothe March 1, 1900, in Salt Lake City. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Othello John Wheatley, Fort Collins, and Lt. Cm dr. Thomas Ross Wheatley, Chapel Hill, N. C.; five grandchildren, and two brothers and two sisters, Thomas Wheatley, George H. Wheat-ley- , Mrs. Heber L. Walker, all of Honeyville, and Mrs. Evan A. Bergstrom of Brigham City. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. at the Honeyville chapel. Bishop Varsel Chlarson will officiate. J.
