Show New District President MRS. ESTHER L. HODGES NAMED CHRISTIANSEN LEGION AUXILIARY DIST. PREXY SUNDAY WITH Herb Adamson To Serve; As Of District One Legion With a half hour lead, a pig-- ; eon dwned by Neil Christiansen, local pigeon grower and enthusiast, was speediest contender in the race from Dubois, Idaho on Vice-Command- er iMrs. Esther L. Hodges was named president of District One American Legion Auxiliary at In convention meeting held Lewiston, Utah, last Saturday evening. The convention was held at the Civic Center with a joint meeting of the posts and auxiliaries as opening session. The meeting was conducted by District Commander Lawrence K. Baugh, Logan. Patriotic form was followed with State Commander Doran Duesler, Ogden, and State President Lona Watson, Cedar City, as distinguished speakers. The two groups then adjourned for special election sessions. Mrs. Hodges will serve for 1953-5as president with Mrs. Jennie Kennington, Smithfield, as First vice president; Mrs. Nettie Hayes, Richmond, vice as Second president, Smithfield; Mrs. Zelda Howells, Hyrum, historian. The secretary will 'be appointed by Mrs. Hodges following her installation in June. Adamson Named Officer Named as District Commander was Dr. Alexander, Randolph; Herb Adamson was named vice commander. Following election of officers t the two groups met for a luncheon. Those from Brigham City attending were: Mr. and Mrs. George Hodges, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Malmrose, Mr. and Mrs. Victor J. Bott, Henb Adamson and Leslie Lowe. Mrs. Hodges election to auxiliary president comes after 33 years of service in the American Legion Auxiliary. She is listed as a charter member of the Brigham City group and has served in many capacities during the years.. Her most recent offices have included: unit president, district Americanism chairman, department constitu s tion and chairman, dis Box Elder NEWS Brigham City. Robinette has 'been in acBrigham City becoming quainted with relatives and 'friends of her husband. She has been guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Asel Robi nette. She is the former Dorris Wall of Chattanooga, Tenn. She was t honorably released from service in the WAVES of the U. S. Navy in March following six months duty. Mr. Robinette is now' stationed aboard the USS Perch, a submarine, in San Diego. They plan to reside in San Diego. The new Mrs. Robinette was guest of honor at a famliy par ty held at the Robinette home last Sunday. Luncheon was serv ed and many lovely gifts presented to the guest of honor. Those attending were: James F. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Horton Hess, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Larsen and son Stephen, all of Centerville; Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Sorensen, Logan; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Petersen and daughter, Tamara, Garland; Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hess, Plymouth; (Mr. and Mrs. Dell Nichols and Craig Robinette, Brigham City.
