N16-tf-e- h fs John Harvey Collon. 73, of Brigham City, died at the Coolev Memorial hospital, Saturday afternoon at 3:10 oclock following a illness. He was born May 21, 1876, at Buckhorn, Arkansas, a son of Floyd and Elizabeth Stewart Collon. He was reared and educated in Arkansas, and married Bertie Moser May 18, 1907, in Quion, Ark. They came to Utah in 1945 and lived at Garland and Tremonton, before coming to Brigham City three years ago. He was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are his widow and the following sons and daughters: Harvey and J. O. Collon, Oil Trough, Arkansas; Mrs. Elizabeth Harris, Detroit, Mich.; Ray Collon, Logan; Mrs. LaNeil Byrd, Brigham City; also the Wash following step children: Red Wheelis, Dowden, Ark.; Wheelis. Lefanto, Ark.; Mrs. Emma Not ns and Mrs. Hester Tilley, Newark, Ark.; 29 grandtwo children, .three brothers, Jerry Collon, Earl, Ark.; Lee Collon, Batesville, Ark., and Marvin Collon, Buckhorn. four-month- s deceased. M15-1- Arthur Brigham City, has successfully k completed an intensive discussion leaders training course at the Troop Information and Education Staff school located in Buedingen, Germany, the 'U. S. army announced today. The staff school is a major part of the Information phase of the extensive army and air force information and education program available to ' all armed forces personnel serving in the European command. Discussion leaders conduct the weekly mandatory Troop Information hour for personnel wdthin their units. The discussions include such topics as the armed forces and national security, current national and International affairs, geography, citizenship, science, etc. all the members of the church and their friends are invited to attend a dinner at the Howard No reservations are Hotel. necessary. Reverend Gillespie has been in Brigham City since February 11, when he came here to assume duties at the Community church. Prior to his arrival here he had served as pastor of Congregational churches in Vermont for nine and Massachusetts years.
