Basil Williams pitched Peaches to a 9 to 2 victory over the Bingham Miners in Rees Pioneer park last Wednesday night at the Dickie Harmer benefit baseball game. Williams had the game all the way as he hurled a beautiful seven hitter and didnt walk a man. The Peaches jumped to a two run lead in the bottom of the first inning and had built up a five run lead before the Miners broke the scoring tape. Both teams juggled their lineup all the way through The contest lasted only eight of the innings due to a mix-ubuys on the scoreboard and the players left the field before anyone checked with the official scorer, how'ever the game was dragging and it was a cinch victory for Williams so no move was made to play the last inning. The entire contest was a donation affair. Bingham came up here without charge and E. H. Peters donated the gas money to them. The umpires, Peters and Robinette also donated their time as did the ball players on both teams.
