The local club will have as their guests, the Lions club of Garland, and the people of Garland. Carl McConnell has been contacted and will be on hand to hurl the game for the Locals 'whq are apt to .take their second win from the millmen. The Peaces have a record of one win and one lost with the Magna team and would like very much to continue their winning ways. The fact that they dumped the Kansas City Monarchs should give them confidence enough to rule them slight favorites in the contest. Limited NOTICE Box Elder High The American Legion baseball team moved one notch closer to first place in their region play last Monday. They played the Logan American Legion team. The contest was staged at Rees Pioneer park and started at 8 oclock in the evening. A good sized crowd was there to witness the beating the local nine gave to Logan. The game got off to the same start as the Lewiston game. The first inning was a bad one, but after that they settled down and really played good ball. In the second frame, they rushed across ten big runs to put the contest in the bag. The Brigham City crew scored in almost every inning, while Val Woodland held the visiting nine to two tallies. Hal Anderson gave up the other two runs. Val (Hair Cut) Woodland was the starting flinger for the local team. He pitched good ball for the three frames he pitched.. Hal Anderson came in to relieve Woodland so as to keep his arm in good shape for Fridays game. Hal pitched until the seventh when Hanline finished the game. Logan used four pitchers in their attempt to stop the Brighamites.
